Do you have some free time and enjoy helping people? Are you interested in ships and seafarers, how the oceans have shaped our history, the future of the sea, or simply in museums? Would you like to become part of our dedicated team of volunteers?
As a volunteer you will become an important part of the Museum, supporting our work and enhancing the experience of our many visitors.
Our crew of volunteers are highly valued members of the Museum team. They contribute to the successful running of the Museum. We are extremely grateful for all the support our volunteers provide but we are always keen to encourage others to join us and you can help in a variety of ways.
Don’t worry if you don’t have previous experience of volunteering for a museum, as full support and training will be given.
If you would like to know more about volunteering with the Museum please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
The North Devon Maritime Museum in Appledore needs more volunteers to help run our popular museum, from Easter to the end of October each year. This involves selling tickets and running the small shop.
The volunteers are a friendly group who enjoy meeting visitors and helping them to enjoy north Devon.
Introductory tours which give an outline of the heritage contained within the museum, will be held on Wednesday mornings from 10:00am until 11:30am.
Please email or phone the number and address below to arrange for a tour, meet other volunteers and put your name on our rota!
